Maximising your Experience: Understanding Yourself and Others module (AG31001)

This module will help you to build a critical understanding of your own strengths, skills and abilities.

You will understand how to apply and develop these in your workplace to enhance your professional development.

You will also start to set professional and personal actions and goals to accomplish throughout the module.

What you will learn

In this module, you will:

• critically review and develop your self-awareness
• critically review your professional values and skills
• reflect on your work based learning to produce a professional development action plan

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

• articulate your transferable skills and critically reflect on areas for development
• critically evaluate your role within and contribution to a team using theories of teamwork and personality type
• critically evaluate notions of professionalism and understand appropriate modes of behaviour and attitudes in relation to your place in the world of work
• apply and develop digital literacy skills by completing an online portfolio

Assignments / assessment

100% of the assessment for this module is through an online portfolio where you will provide evidence of what you have learned from your workplace and your development throughout the module.

You will share your workplace experience expectations, show an understanding of what is expected of you, give an understanding of your own personality, and the impact and influence that this can have on others. 

This module does not have a final exam.

Teaching methods / timetable

This is a blended learning programme where most of your learning will be done through self-directed learning using online resources and reflecting on your day-to-day work.

There will be in-person call back days where we will all get together to review and consolidate learning.
