About the Module

This module provides an introduction to Human Computer Interaction (HCI) through practical tasks in relation to Assistive Technology.

Credit Rating

There are 10 SCQF points available on this module.

How you will Learn

This module will be delivered online.

Students are taught using a combination of asynchronous material and tutorial sessions. Asynchronous material include presentations of HCI concepts and tasks to be undertaken which lead to the assessed coursework.

Tutorial sessions will reinforce online teaching materials and are opportunities for students to develop their own HCI and usability design skills.

Assessment and Coursework

Coursework counts for 100% of the final module mark.

Assignments

There will be three assignments: a heuristic evaluation, a Web Audit and a Research Paper Discussion. Assignments will assess the practical and theoretical skills that have been developed in the module.

Marking criteria are provided on My Dundee for all assignments, so that you know what we are looking for when we are marking your coursework. Please ensure that you refer to these when completing assignments.
