The module developed with the Royal College of Radiologists and Clinical Oncologists, UK aims to support students in their exploration of contemporary issues related to learning in oncology and to enhance their practice as a reflective teacher of oncology. 

By the end of this module, students should be able to:

  1. Critically appraise the roles, responsibilities, skills and attributes of the clinical teacher in relation to current approaches to supporting learning in the Oncology workplace.
  2. Critically appraise the practicality of theories and models of workplace learning in relation to clinical teaching and learning in the Oncology context.
  3. Articulate a critical stance by reflecting upon your own planning, preparation and delivery of clinically focused teaching activities.
  4. Recommend practical measures to critically analyse and integrate key trends and evidence-based strategies into your clinical teaching in the Oncology setting.
