Curatorial Practice MFA at Masters Showcase
Our unique studio-based programme explores curating as a creative, critical and social practice in the expanded field of art and design. Our students engage with contemporary curatorial theories and practices while building exhibition and event production skills through individual and group projects, placements, and masterclasses with industry experts.
Our graduates apply advanced curatorial knowledge, skills and abilities to communicate with different audiences in various situations and environments, supporting their professional ambitions to make leading contributions to art, culture, and society internationally.

Showcase Spotlight: Pre-Positions
DJCAD student Pamela Atan’s Pre-Positions explores feminist authorship through collective reading, rewriting and co-authorship. Drawing on contemporary and archival works, it considers how these practices reclaim voice, body, desire and identity, and open up alternative ways of writing and rewriting women’s experiences and histories.
The exhibition brings together works by artists and writers Sharon Kivland and Sharon Young alongside The Diaries of Michael Field, a new commission by photographer Blaze Angel Emin, publications from Ma Bibliothèque, and a LOUDREADERS performance informed by a score by artist, researcher and educator Romany Dear.
