Updated on 7 July 2023
Consultancy is an effective way for you to share your expert knowledge to assist companies in solving problems, ultimately helping your research make an impact.
Whatever your area of expertise, the Research and Innovation Services (RIS) is here to support you to find and engage with external clients. Consultancy and Service Work is an established way of building relationships with companies and is recognised in the University's OSaR, promotion, remuneration and workload planning processes.
RIS are responsible for pricing, negotiating and signing off all consultancy contracts. By working with RIS, you are protected through the use of standard University contracts and through the University’s public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
