About

joshua_medcraf

As a designer I’m influenced by significant historical events combined with popular culture. Responding to experimental problems through conceptual multidisciplinary design.

My practice is driven by the absence of analogue approaches in the contemporary world of graphic design. Evoking a strong emotional response and capturing the essence of storytelling through typographical responses and branding strategies.

Mano cachaça bottle

A close up picture of the bottle with a bandana draped down beside it.

Legend has it that Prince Pedro and some of his closest confidants gathered that fateful night, to plan the road to independence. Drinking long into the night, filling their cups and toasting to their new resolve with the bottles of Cachaça that sat between them. While the Cachaça stroked their fervour. São Paulo’s historic ties to the revolution and Prince Pedro create an ideal setting for Mano and the perfect climate for sugarcane production. Allowing the unique craft of our Cachaça with the freshest and locally sourced ingredients.
