A group of Nigerian alumni of the University of Dundee at an alumni event

When our Nigerian alumni community recently gathered at a hotel in Jabi, it was more than just a meet-up – it was a clear reminder of the power of community and of education, and the importance of building connections with others.

From their shared connection to the University, alumni from across Nigeria came to share their career stories and grow their networks across diverse industries.

The event's theme, The Journey So Far: Success Lessons from Alumni, allowed accomplished individuals to share their success stories, and how Dundee gave them a kick-start to their careers.

The discussion was diverse – attendees shared recollections of their time in a foreign Scottish city as well as the work they're doing in their respective industries.

Across similarities and differences, attendees found common ground, and all left with a shared motivation to engage with their alumni body more deeply.

Panel sessions allowed individuals to share their specific experiences and insights, with rising stars joining the ranks alongside established professionals.
