Join us for the Annual NCR Biz-a-thon: A Hackathon for Business Students.
Think hackathons are just for coders? Think again! The NCR Biz-a-thon, in partnership with NCR Atleos, is your chance to team up, tackle a real-world business challenge, and impress a panel of industry experts.
What’s in it for you?
- £300 in vouchers of your choice for the winning team
- The top 3 teams will be invited to NCR Atleos HQ in Dundee to pitch their ideas to Senior Management
- Learn from workshops led by School of Business staff and NCR Atleos Alumni
- Build your CV with real-world problem-solving, teamwork, and presentation experience
- Network with peers, professionals, and alumni – all while having fun
Teams of 5: You’ll be placed in a team, or you can choose your own teammates (just email us with the names – all must be registered).
Flexible format: Most of the Biz-a-thon is drop-in, so you can manage your own time. The only fixed sessions are the Competition Launch and Final Presentations.
Event Schedule
Wednesday 7th October 2026
- Location: Dalhousie 1F06
- 09:30 - 11:00: Competition Launch → Meet NCR Atleos, discover the challenge, and choose which one your team will tackle (1 person from each team must attend)
- 11:00 - 16:00: Drop-in workshops (Team Building, Marketing, Finance, Presentation Skills, Analysis) + team workspace
Thursday 8th October 2026
- Dalhousie 2F15
- 09:30 – 11:00: Drop-in workshops, including a session with NCR Atleos Alumni and an Employability Skills workshop
- Carnegie LT
- 13:00 - 15:00: Live Team Presentations for judging (those presenting for Teams must attend)
- 15:00: Winners announced
Target Audience:
- University of Dundee School of Business UG & TPG students only.
