Interviews can feel daunting, but preparation can make a real difference. This supportive masterclass will help you understand what to expect and develop strategies for answering questions with confidence.

Feeling nervous before an interview is completely normal. This session will help make the process feel more familiar by explaining how interviews work, what employers may be assessing and how you can prepare effectively.

We will cover different types of interview questions, including questions about your motivation, strengths, experience and skills. You will learn how to structure your answers, select relevant examples and use practical techniques to communicate clearly.

The session will also explore preparation before the interview, managing nerves, making a positive impression and deciding which questions you might ask an employer. The techniques covered can be used for part-time jobs, internships, placements, graduate roles and further study interviews.

Please note - this session involves working in small groups including practicing the answer to 1 interview question with a partner or in a group of 3. You will not be required to speak in front of the wider group unless you would like to ask questions!

If you have any concerns about participating, do speak to the Careers Adviser running the session beforehand. They will be able to offer an alternative to the groupwork to enable you to participate at a level that feels comfortable for you.

Location:  To be confirmed.
