Embracing & Celebrating Diversity – Student Photo competition

We invite members of our student community to submit photos of their interpretation of our BHM 2024 theme: Embracing and celebrating diversity. There are three prizes on offer: 

• 1st place: £100 Amazon voucher & photo to feature in all UoD’s BHM 2024 events 
• 2nd place: £50 Amazon voucher 
• 3rd place: £35 Amazon voucher 

All entries will be displayed in a virtual, online gallery that can be viewed by an international audience throughout BHM 2024. Following the end of BHM 2024, all photos will be submitted a special collection to UoD’s Archives, and may be used in future UoD events for the Race Equality Charter. 

Competition rules

• Each entrant can submit up to two (2) photos, and must include a brief description (50 words max) of how you think each photo relates to our theme ‘Embracing and celebrating diversity’ and BHM. 
• If you are taking a photo of a person/people, you must get their permission and let them know what the photos will be used for. 
• Photos should be emailed to: [email protected] no later than Friday 25 October.
