A community effort to generate open protein-ligand data at scale

As part of our Target 2035 project, which aims to generate a chemical probe for all human proteins, the SGC is generating a large open-source dataset of protein-ligand interactions - to accelerate the development of hit-finding algorithms.  As a part of this effort, we have assembled small molecule screening platforms, prioritizing ASMS and DEL binding assays.   The SGC is screening ~1,000 proteins produced internally, and we are also making our new enantioselective ASMS (E-ASMS) screening platform available to the community.  Community members who contribute high-quality, purified (his-tagged) proteins for E-ASMS screening are free to pursue any hits without any restriction, provided they agree that the screening data (including all chemical structures) will be made available to the public within months.  Hundreds of proteins have already been contributed by the community and screened, and we are keen to get more proteins…..   I will share some success stories from these screens.
