Procedure to request a Grading Review through HERA for Professional Services staff

The process by which a member of Professional Services staff can request a grading review of their role using HERA.

Members of Professional Services staff can request a grading review of their role, if significant additional responsibilities have been placed on the role and they meet certain criteria. The procedure explains the process, and how such an applications will be considered using the analytical job evaluation tool HERA (Higher Education Role Analysis).

Applications can be submitted all year round, but will be considered by evaluation panels at two points in the calendar year. The closing date for applications will be 1 August and 1 February, and any change in grade will be effective from these dates. If an application is not submitted by the deadline date, it will be considered at the next review date.
