Go Abroad application form terms and conditions for 2025/26

By submitting this application, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

 

  1. I certify that the information provided on this application form is true, complete, and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
  2. I will keep all information provided to the University up to date and will notify the University promptly of any material changes.
  3. I agree to provide supporting evidence for the information submitted if requested by the Go Abroad Team.
  4. If admitted to the University’s Go Abroad Programme, I agree to comply with the Student Rules.
  5. I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure payment of any applicable tuition fees, programme-related costs, and other expenses as notified to me in advance by the University or relevant third parties.
  6. I agree to inform the University promptly in writing by email if I decide not to proceed with my application.
  7. I understand that my Go Abroad application is subject to approval and is dependent primarily on my academic performance and the availability of places at partner institutions.
  8. If my application is provisionally approved, I acknowledge that my placement at a specific partner institution will depend on the score I attain at the compulsory Go Abroad interview and other placement criteria, as communicated by the Go Abroad Team.
  9. I agree to communicate respectfully and professionally with the Go Abroad Team, University staff, and staff at partner institutions, in accordance with the University’s Dignity at Work and Study Policy.
  10. I understand that the University reserves the right to withdraw my application following consideration of the circumstances where my communication with the Go Abroad Team or staff at a partner institution contravenes the University’s Dignity at Work and Study Policy.
  11. If my application is accepted, I consent to my name and University email address being shared with other students participating in the University-wide Go Abroad programme for programme-related purposes. I understand that I may opt out of this data sharing at any time by notifying the Go Abroad Team in writing at [email protected]
  12. I understand that, as part of the application process, I may be required to disclose criminal convictions (spent or unspent) or pending criminal charges where this is required by a partner institution, overseas authority, or applicable safeguarding or regulatory requirements.

  13. I understand that if I withdraw from the Go Abroad Programme after acceptance, this may result in academic, administrative, or financial consequences, which will be communicated to me by the University at the relevant time.
  14. I confirm that I have read and understood the Privacy Notice, which explains how my personal data will be processed during the application and programme lifecycle, and I acknowledge that my personal data will be processed in accordance with that notice.

Definitions and Interpretation

In these Terms and Conditions:

i. “University” means the University of Dundee.

ii. “Student Rules” means the University’s statutes, ordinances, student regulations, policies, and procedures, as amended from time to time, available on the University’s academic and corporate governance webpage (Academic and Corporate Governance | University of Dundee).

iii. “Go Abroad Team” means the University staff responsible for managing and administering the Go Abroad Programme.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Scotland.
