Your support helps students access university – and the future they deserve.
Give today

Since 1995, over 3,000 students have taken part in Access Summer School, many from the most deprived areas of Scotland.

For many, university isn’t out of reach because of ability, but because of circumstance.

Some students narrowly miss the grades they need due to factors beyond their control. Others face complex challenges that disrupt their education. They have the potential - they just need a chance.

Access Summer School is that chance. It’s a free, five-week programme that helps students qualify for university through a blend of specific subject modules and academic skills development. It enables them to build confidence and experience university life firsthand.

The University proudly supports Access Summer School, but rising costs mean we urgently need your help to ensure we can reach every student who needs us.

Why your support matters

Since 2020, 73% of Access Summer School students have gone on to study at the University of Dundee.

Whether you choose to support a full place or give what you can, your generosity shows a student they matter. You can be the reason they make it to university.

You can help change their life.

“When I was growing up, I didn’t think University was for me. I left secondary school at 16. School was hard and our financial situation at home wasn’t great. Access Summer School gave me the opportunity to be supported to experience University and qualify for my undergraduate course.”
