Reach is a national project to encourage senior school pupils to consider careers and higher education in Medicine, Dentistry and Law.

On this page

Reach is a national project, funded by the Scottish Funding Council, to encourage, educate, and empower senior-phase pupils to consider careers and higher education in Medicine, Dentistry and Law.

Our programme of events and 1-1 support helps pupils to explore these subject areas, develop skills and gain practical experiences and create competitive applications.

Reach advice is always impartial, and we support pupils wherever they want to go!

Reach organises a variety of on-campus events designed to help you gain an insight into your chosen degree and to develop key skills and experiences to help you make a strong application. Our events are always free, and remember we are an impartial project, so we are here for you every step of the way, whether you want to study at Dundee or elsewhere.

Our support comes in 3 key stages – explore, develop, and apply

Explore the degrees and the associated professions through our on-campus Explore Days, Career Insight evenings and Masterclass sessions.

Develop a whole new range of skills through attending our specialised, subject-specific sessions, which range from Emergency Care Workshops and Surgical Skill & Anatomy sessions for those interested in Medicine or Dentistry, to our Mooting Days, Sheriff Court Visits and Criminal Advocacy workshops for our pupils interested in law.

Apply knowing your application is the best it can be! We offer UCAT Preparation, UCAT Tutoring and Interview Support for those applying to Medicine or Dentistry, as well as bespoke Personal Statement Masterclasses and 1-1 support for all Reach Tayside pupils.
