e-Assessment

The Library & Learning Centre offers central support for innovative practice in e-assessment. Technologies supported include the leading electronic assessment system Questionmark Perception and the TurningPoint personal response system (PRS). Management of these systems is co-ordinated by the Library & Learning Centre and guidance on use of these technologies is grounded in best practice. For more information or support email Assess.

Web Conferencing

The Library & Learning Centre provides central support for web conferencing. Adobe Connect Pro is a web conferencing solution that can be used to: support online tutorials; conduct online meetings between researchers or management teams; or host meetings for potential student applicants. Digitisation Service

The Library & Learning Centre Digitisation Service facilitates the conversion of extracts from books or journals into a digitised format for electronic delivery. Use of the service is governed by the Copyright Licencing Agency (CLA) Blanket Photocopying and Scanning Licence.

Information Skills

The Library & Learning Centre is able to provide training for students on all aspects of information literacy, helping to develop skills in literature searching, referencing and plagiarism avoidance, critical appraisal of information and many other areas. Survey Service

The Library & Learning Centre Survey Service support the use of surveys throughout the University. The Survey Service coordinates the use of easy-to-use online software (Bristol Online Surveys) for the professional delivery of surveys, and enables individuals and sectors within the University to conduct surveys in a legal, efficient and effective manner.
