We have a fantastic opportunity to join the University of Dundee's Advancement team as a Ninewells Cancer Campaign Community Fundraiser with responsibility for the Ninewells Cancer Campaign (NCC). This role will work closely with the Advancement team the NCC Committee to develop a fundraising and stewardship programme to support NCC income generation. This is a fixed-term appointment for 3 years.
As a Community Fundraiser you will play a pivotal role in the development and management of the NCC campaign. You will be responsible for the planning and execution of a range of income generating activities, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to maximise local support.
Your priorities will include:
- Develop, deliver and oversee all community fundraising activity related to NCC and manage incoming donations from individuals and community groups.
- Build relationships with key community figures in order to promote and secure future fundraising opportunities.
- Work with teams across the University to ensure cohesion of messaging and brand positioning for NCC and collaborate with colleagues across Advancement to identify opportunities to generate project and campaign funds.
Create, develop and deliver stewardship strategies, including press, social media and events for NCC donors and fundraisers to ensure they are thanked appropriately and have a planned future programme of engagement and stewardship to encourage further giving and fundraising.
Who we're looking for:
- A genuine interest in connecting with people and ability to nurture and cultivate strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with highly personable relationship building abilities.
- Previous community fundraising experience or experience in similar fields.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of colleagues, including senior academics.
