Online Summer School

Congratulations on your offer to study at the University of Dundee.

As part of your offer, we would be delighted to welcome you to our Online Summer School. This course is 6 weeks and 3 days and will make sure you are fully prepared and have the required qualifications to begin your undergraduate degree with us.

What is Online Summer School?

Online Summer School is a route for eligible students to earn, and prepare for, an undergraduate place at the University of Dundee. Completing Summer School can be a compulsory condition of your UCAS offer or an alternative option to meet our entry requirements.

Compulsory Online Summer School

To qualify for a place at the University of Dundee, you must complete one or two modules in our Online Summer School. Your UCAS and Online Summer School offer will indicate how many modules you need to complete, if any are compulsory and the grades you need to achieve.

Optional Online Summer School

As part of your degree offer, you have the option to complete one or two modules in our Online Summer School.

You can still meet your conditions by completing your current studies and achieving the grades as stated in your UCAS offer. However, if you choose, you can qualify for a place at the University of Dundee by achieving the conditions as stated in your UCAS and Online Summer School offer.

It involves:

  • Preparing to study – In the first 2 weeks, you will complete an academic skills module, which will equip you for university and beyond.
  • Completing subject module(s) – The following 4 weeks, you will be required to successfully complete taught subject modules.

Online Summer School will give you the best possible preparation for being a university student. You will have access to modules, academics and resources that will enhance your learning and facilitate the transition to first year.
