09:00 - 11:00 Welcome Meeting & Introduction

At this welcome meeting you will be meet the Dean, Year 1 Academic Lead, members of the Dundee Dental Students Society (DDDS) and various others. You will be given important information about your degree. programme. This will be followed by a tour of the Dental School and Campus by members of DDSS.

13:00 - 16:00 Matriculation

Once you have received your academic summary (sometimes referred to as a 'matriculation schedule') from your adviser you may attend matriculation. Matriculation is the formal process of registering as a student with the University of Dundee.

The steps to matriculate are:

  1. Finance desk - all students. This is where we will check your funding documents or, if applicable, you will pay any remaining tuition fees.
  2. Home desk - only if you are from Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland or an EU country. This is where we will check your qualifications and identity.
  3. International desk - only if you are from a country not in the EU. This is where we will check your qualifications, identity and visa.
  4. ID card desk - all students. This is where you will receive your student ID card.

The Student Loan Company are notified automatically of your matriculation, however it may take up to five working days for the funds to be released into your bank account.
