Below are a range of options for individuals and businesses looking to upskill or reskill. They include funded courses for individuals, career development options and training services for businesses.


The Universities Upskilling Fund was developed by the Scottish Funding Council to support the capacity of universities to provide more opportunities to upskill and reskill.

The University of Dundee has created a range of upskilling courses available for individuals, and professionals. The majority of these courses are available online and can be fitted around home and work commitments.

Spaces are issued on a first come, first served basis and to be eligible for funding you must live in Scotland and should currently be:

  • unemployed and seeking work
  • at risk of redundancy or their job under threat as a result of Covid-19 or the economic impact of EU Exit
  • employed and have identified a skills gap in their current job

Fees for each module and course are outlined on the course pages.

    Current University of Dundee students are not eligible for upskilling funding

    Student support

    As an upskilling student, you will have full access to our range of Student Services which offer support to help people on our courses to thrive. 

    Our Disability Service offers advice, guidance, practical support and adjustments to students with an impairment, medical condition or specific learning difficulty, such as dyslexia, in order to enhance access and progression through their courses.

    Our Careers Service offers advice and support to empower individuals to develop their potential and take confident informed steps towards their future.
