Eligibility

You should:

  • have already been offered a place to study September 2017 on either an Undergraduate, Postgraduate or PhD level programme in a priority subject area at the University of Dundee, and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so
  • be a citizen of Canada, the People's Republic of China, India, Pakistan or the USA
  • not have studied previously in Scotland at undergraduate or postgraduate level
  • ensure you can meet the costs of living and remaining tuition fees
  • have completed the application form (see below), and send it to Scottish government email and the University of Dundee, before the deadline of 12 May 2017 (midnight GMT). The University can only process applications received from the Scottish government, please do no apply directly to the University.

 

Further Information

The scholarships are designed to support the promotion of Scotland as a learning nation and a science nation and are therefore targeted at the priority sectors of creative industries, life sciences, technology, financial services and renewable and clean energy (find out what study options are available).

The Saltire Scholarships can only be held in addition to one other University of Dundee Scholarships, the exception being the Vice Principals International Excellence Scholarship as this is a full fee waiver for one academic year.

How to Apply

  1. Read the detailed eligibility information on the Scottish Government website
  2. Complete the online application form.
  3. To complete the application process you must complete the online application form and press the submit button before the closing date, 12 May 2017 (midnight GMT)

Selection Procedure

The University of Dundee will receive your application form from the Scottish Government after the closing date. A Selection Committee will meet in July to select the successful applicants. The winners of the scholarship will be announced by the end of July.
