Dundee recognised as one of the UK’s top universities

The University of Dundee has been named as one of the country’s top universities in a major new nationwide survey.
Dundee has been ranked 14th best university in the UK in the StudentCrowd University Awards 2022, a placing based entirely on verified reviews from students.
“This is a fantastic achievement and is especially significant because it reflects the views of students” said Professor Iain Gillespie, Principal and Vice-Chancellor.
“Our campus provides a safe, traditional university experience right in the heart of a vibrant, modern city. Coupled with our high-quality of teaching, it is the perfect environment for students to flourish.
"Results such as this are a testament to the whole University community and highlight our commitment to ensuring that a student’s time at Dundee is one of the most rewarding of their life.”
The rankings were based on almost 16,000 verified reviews of UK universities across 11 different categories. Results were collated over the 24-month period from June 1 2020 to May 31 2022. The results are significant with UCAS reporting that online reviews by students are the second most important resource for prospective students when making a decision on which university to attend.
Earlier this year, StudentCrowd named Dundee as Scotland’s best university for student experience based on student feedback.
