ISSR welcomes visiting scholars following launch of the Global Scholar(s) Programme 2018/19.

The Institute for Social Sciences Research (ISSR), a collaboration between the Schools of Social Sciences and Education and Social Work, is delighted to welcome five international research scholars to Dundee to engage on significant interdisciplinary research, scholarly collaboration and networking.
“We are delighted to welcome our visitors to the prestigious Global Scholar Programme at the University of Dundee,” said Professor Lorraine van Blerk, ISSR Director and Associate Dean of Research in the School of Social Sciences. “Their arrival is indicative of our ambitions to enhance our international profile and reputation for world-class interdisciplinary research.”
Professor Mark Smith, Co-Director of ISSR added, “I am pleased with the interest shown in the Global Scholars Programme and excited by the opportunities the presence of such an impressive group of scholars offers to further internationalise our research activity across Schools and disciplines.”
The five strong group of scholars will spend up to 3 months in Dundee. They will each collaborate with University of Dundee academics in research around the themes: Health and Wellbeing, Social Justice and Social Change; Innovation in Methods and Data Analytics; Environment; Governance, Policy and Regulation.
