Teaching and assessment for British Sign Language BSL - Languages for all Module
Teaching
The course is taught using face-to-face contact with the class tutor, including group and pair work supported by self-study, using a variety of learning methods including:
- conversations
- role-playing
- tutorials
- DVD work
Assessment
Assessment is by coursework, including:
- a receptive skills assessment
- two-part role-play with the teacher
- pre-arranged conversation with the teacher demonstrating productive and receptive skills
Modules are accredited. On successful completion of accredited language modules, you will be awarded a University of Dundee Modern Languages Certificate worth 20 credit points at SCQF Level 7 or above.
You can choose not to take the assessments, however you will not receive the credits and may instead be awarded a Certificate of Attendance, providing that you have attended a minimum of 80% of classes.
