Introduces programming concepts and skills using the Python programming language, suitable for those with no programming knowledge
A limited number of fully funded places are available for eligible Scottish applicants through the Scottish Government's Upskilling Fund.
If you are living in Scotland and are currently:
- unemployed and seeking work
- at risk of redundancy or your job under threat as a result of Covid-19 or the economic impact of EU Exit
- employed and have identified a skills gap in their current job
then you can apply for a fully funded place.
This online module aims to introduce programming concepts and skills using the Python programming language. This module is suitable for those with no programming knowledge and will provide both practical and theoretical knowledge in Python programming.
Python is a popular general-purpose programming language. It is concise and is widely used in web development, data science and to create software prototypes. It is a fantastic first language for programmers to learn.
This module is only available by distance learning; participants can be based anywhere across the world. The module will run for 10 weeks with learning materials, assignments and tests as well as a tutor who will provide support as needed.
