Students take part in 'trip of a lifetime' in China

A group of thirty students from across the University of Dundee have arrived in Shanghai to take part in this year's ECUST (East China University of Science and Technology) trip to China.

Over the eight week trip the twenty-three students from School of Science and Engineering will joined other students from across the University, to study subjects including Chinese culture, Chinese traditional medicine, general engineering, civil engineering, healthcare, environment and global challenges.

Although mainly based in ECUST in Shanghai, they will also spend one week at Hohai University in Nanjing.

Professor Zhihong Huang, Associate Dean for Internationalisation at the School of Science and Engineering said, “The ECUST summer school is a tremendous opportunity for our students to fully appreciate daily life in China and understand the many cultural differences, which will help prepare them for a globally successful career in the future.”
