All applicants for this scholarship must be able to evidence their Refugee or Asylum Status, or Humanitarian Protection as recognised by the 1951 UN Convention on the Status of Refugees
Applicants must hold an offer to study:
- a full time, on campus, undergraduate course at the University of Dundee, starting in September 2022, (excluding Medicine, Dentistry, Education and Social Work courses)
- a full time, on campus, postgraduate taught course at the University of Dundee, starting in September 2022 or January 2023
This scholarship cannot be combined with any other University of Dundee scholarship or award.
The Humanitarian Scholarship will provide a full tuition fee waiver for each year of study, plus a monthly stipend and accommodation costs.
The scholarship will fund up to 2 Undergraduate awards and up to 8 Postgraduate Taught awards for eligible students.
In addition, any applicants who require support with English Language will be able to apply for our Pre-Sessional English programmes, which are funded by the Scholarship.
All valid applications will be reviewed by a panel after the deadline (Friday 29 April 2022. 23:59GMT) has passed.
When reviewing scholarship applications, the selection panel will consider:
- Academic merit and potential
- Your demonstrated interest in the field of study
- Financial need
- The impact of your forced migration status on your access to education
You can expect to be notified in writing of the outcome of your application no later than Tuesday 31 May 2022.
If successful in being awarded a Humanitarian Scholarship, please note you will not be eligible to receive any additional scholarship awards by the University of Dundee.
