Eligibility

The University of Dundee provides up to £3,000 for Alumni Students, and is available to applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • Have applied to study a full (180 credit) postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2020 or January 2021. Applicants to the Professional Doctorate Programmes can apply but if awarded will receive this scholarship in Year 1 only
  • If you are returning to study an Undergraduate programme, a Postgraduate taught programme which is less than 180 credits, a Distance Learning Programme, or a Postgraduate Research Programme then unfortunately you are not eligible – please read out Key Facts Document for more information on this.
  • Have graduated from the University of Dundee, having previously completed a full undergraduate or postgraduate taught degree, OR;
  • If you have not graduated from the University of Dundee, but an immediate family member has, then you are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Please read the “Do I have to apply?” section below for further information.

Further Information

The Academic Excellence Scholarship is available to you if you are an undergraduate student entering your first year of study at the University of Dundee.

The value of the scholarship is £3,000 per year of study and to continue to receive this scholarship each academic year, you will need to meet progression criteria as determined by the University.

Do I have to apply?

If you are a current student at the University of Dundee, and are continuing your postgraduate taught studies with us, then this scholarship will be automatically added to your record.

If you are not a direct graduate, but someone in your immediate family has graduated from the University of Dundee, then please get in touch with contactus@dundee.ac.uk. You will need to provide your current application reference, alongside evidence of your relationship to the Alumni Student and a copy of their student ID reference or their degree certificate.
