Research interests

The University of Dundee offers a wealth of opportunities for PhD study, from health inequalities and health services research to biomedical research; from legal & regulatory, sustainability, environmental, economic & social responsibility issues to the digital economy, futures & culture, visualisation & the application of visual thinking, art, media, and visual studies. We are leaders in research into human variation in relation to identification, surgery and anatomy, and our interdisciplinary work includes digital human research and facial depiction, and forensic engineering.

Each School has a range of different programmes open to international students which are structured to maximise effective guidance and mentoring, in addition to providing a basis for optimally matching students' interests with cutting edge research. Full financial support is available under some programmes and we offer a range of scholarships for outstanding applicants comprising full or partial waiving of tuition fees.
