ISSF

The University of Dundee was awarded a £3.75 million Institutional Strategic Support Fund (ISSF) in 2016 from Wellcome to support a variety of activities for the next 5 years. This follows £5 million of previous funding which has supported many strategic activities since October 2011.

The ISSF provides UK-based universities flexible funding, which they are required to match, to invest in areas of strategic importance and thereby supports a diverse range of initiatives within Wellcome’s strategic goals.

The Dundee ISSF award underpins a portfolio of activities that support the recruitment and career development of researchers, enable various equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives, enhance our research infrastructure, and support interdisciplinary research and public engagement.
