Enhancement-led institutional review
ELIR is a key component of the Scottish Quality Enhancement Framework. It is an external review process that all Scottish universities participate in, and it operates on a 4 +1 cycle.

We participated in our fourth ELIR during 2018. The Enhancement-Led Institutional Review Handbook published by QAA Scotland provides relevant information about the ELIR method.
The final version of the Reflective Analysis for ELIR 4 submitted to QAA Scotland in July 2018 is available to all University students and staff.
ELIR also involves the production of an Advance Information Set which includes a mapping of the University's policies and practices to the expectations set out in the UK Quality Code.
