In November 2017, the University’s Learning and Teaching Committee approved the review and updating of the section of the Quality Framework providing a Code of Practice on Student Placements and Exchanges. An Audit Toolkit has been developed by the Academic Skills Centre in their application of, and adherence to, the revised Code with respect to student placements. This will help ensure that both staff and students derive the maximum educational benefits from these important activities, safely and securely.
Comments on this toolkit are welcomed and should be addressed to the Director of the Academic Skills Centre, Dr Lorraine Anderson
The Student Placement Toolkit is relevant to the Equality Act 2010, the Public-Sector Equality Duty and the protected characteristics as set out in the Act. The summary sets out the level of relevance and where the Toolkit takes account of equality issues and where gaps are identified.Guidance
