This online Certificate in Prosthodontics will teach you how to carry out aspects of fixed and removable prosthodontics. We will provide you with some of the skills required to establish optimum oral health as part of the preparatory phase, for example, the use of adhesive materials to eliminate substrate in order to manage dental caries. You will understand that this preparatory phase will form the foundation for the reconstructive phase. We will explore aspects of this such as the provision of crowns, veneers, conventional and minimal invasive bridges some constructed using digital techniques.

You will learn by treating virtual dental patients in your office/surgery - all illustrated by casts and photos of patients requiring prosthodontic treatment. We will also discuss with you the treatment of a range of long and short cases again illustrated by photographs.

You will have access to key publications that we will critically appraise with you in order to underpin your treatment of patients.

This Certificate is delivered online which means that you can study wherever and whenever you want to fit around your schedule. The duration of this Certificate is six months. When you complete the Certificate, you will be able to care for patients more effectively and will be equipped with new prosthodontics skills and knowledge.

Should you wish to further enhance your knowledge, you may be eligible to progress to a Diploma and an aspiration to progress to a Master's degree in Prosthodontics. The Master's degree has an intensive clinical component.
