Dundee City Campus

Develop your skills, knowledge and understanding of mathematics to solve real world problems arising within major financial areas, such as financial markets, banks, building societies, accountancy, insurance investment or pension companies.

You will study a number of modules covering both mathematics and business, such as global financial markets, computational modelling and programming, and derivatives and risk management, ensuring you have the skills required to succeed in your chosen field.

You will learn from staff who have experience applying mathematical models to financial problems or who have gained insight into the financial sector through practical experience or research, increasing your understanding of the real-life situations you could face in your career.

Involving specialist mathematical software programs, you will develop programmes and computational frameworks to solve mathematical models that arise from areas such as optimisation and finance.

Our department is relatively small, with an excellent staff to student ratio, allowing us to get to know you on a personal level.
