for Educational Psychology MSc
Training to become an educational psychologist in Scotland is completed over three years and consists of two separate stages. The first stage involves studying for this MSc in Educational Psychology full-time over two years.
On successful completion of the course you can then progress to the second stage of your training, the Qualification in Educational Psychology (Scotland), involving one year of full-time supervised practice in an accredited local authority psychological service.
The qualification is conferred by the British Psychological Society. For more information on requirements, see the BPS website.
Gaining the qualification will entitle you to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a practitioner psychologist, able to practice anywhere in the UK.
We have an excellent success rate in trainees completing the course and embarking on the next stage of their training.
