Politics & International Relations at Dundee is strongly research orientated.  We are committed to promoting a first class research culture dedicated to producing research of the highest quality in a supportive and stimulating environment.  We can provide expert supervision in a wide range of areas if you are considering studying for a PhD.  Our staff are very active in research, reflected in the range and quality of their publications and their contributions to policy and political discourse.

Research Degrees

  • PhD (Doctorate) by Supervised Research

This is a three year degree full-time or five years part-time. It is examined by a thesis of 80,000 - 100,000 words, on a topic of your choice (providing we have the staff expertise and resources).
