Biography
Sweta is from India and studied Master of Forensic Odontology in our School of Dentistry, graduating in 2021.
About Sweta
I am an avid reader and you can almost always find me with my earphones in as I love music. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family exploring new places, cafes and hidden gardens and I like to sketch as well. I was a volunteer in India, providing online medical consultation for rural communities and also helping underprivileged high school students decide on a career choice that suits their interests. In Dundee, I've been volunteering with the British Heart Foundation for over a year. I'm also a volunteer on the "Be my eyes" platform to help visually challenged people with any assistance in their day-to-day life.
Reason for becoming an Alumni Ambassador
My experience as an international student at the University of Dundee has been rewarding. The pandemic has put a damper on our student life, but I appreciate the effort put in by the academic and the non-teaching staff to enhance our experience. I think it's a privilege to be associated with the University not only as Alumni but also as an Ambassador. Getting to know more people within the University and the other Alumni Ambassadors is an added bonus too.
