About Sharida
I am a Professor in Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology at Universiti Putra Malaysia. I love to be among the greenery and the trees and to spend my weekend hiking up on the hills or mountains. The highest mountain that I have been to is Mount Kinabalu, which is a World Heritage Site in Malaysia and the highest peak in Borneo's Crocker Range. I have been engaged in a few community projects particularly involving school children, and underprivileged communities in the urban and rural areas. One of the sweetest moments I experienced in Dundee was meeting the love of my life, my husband.
Reason for becoming an Alumni Ambassador
I decided to become an Alumni Ambassador when I realised that it is a call from the past that I could not turn down. I went to Dundee through the clearing system after my A-Levels and it was the best decision that I have made. I have never regretted it and I want to share the memorable experiences I have had with future students.
