Biography
Keith took up the post of Executive Director Enterprise and Environment with Fife Council in 2013. Prior to this he was Head of Service with the Council. Between August 2002 and August 2003, Keith was Executive Director Corporate Development with South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council.
In the period 1985-1989 Keith held various development control posts with Birmingham, Coventry and Burnley Councils. Thereafter he held the post of Associate with Michael Courcier Associates, Planning Consultants, of Bolton. Then between 1991-2001 Keith worked in various posts in Dundee District then City Councils.
Keith is currently a Director of the Improvement Service Scotland and the Fife Environment Trust.
For SOLACE Scotland he is vice chair of the Economic Programme Board led by the Improvement Service, sits on the Scottish Government and COSLA led High level planning group and portfolio lead
Keith has a BSc (Hons) in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Dundee and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Abertay, Dundee.
Keith is a corporate member of both the Royal Town Planning Institute and the Institute of Economic Development. He is also an active member of SOLACE Scotland.
Keith has previously been convenor of the Graduates Council at the University and sat as practitioner member for the RTPI on the oversight board for the School of Town & Regional Planning at the University.
Keith lives with his family in Invergowrie.
