Emma qualified as a mental health nurse in 1994 and since then has held a number of posts in both clinical and academic roles. Emma has worked in both inpatient and community settings within NHS Tayside, and has been a lecturer at both Abertay University and University of Stirling. Emma joined the University of Dundee as Lecturer in Nursing in 2019 whilst also undertaking a PhD into interventions to support families and carers of individuals living with Borderline Personality Disorder.
