Cindy is from Indonesia and studied BSc Business Economics with Marketing in our School of Business, graduating in 2015
About Cindy
I currently work in Singapore as an Account Director in Gartner, Inc. - a technology advisory service provider. During my free time, I also lead a community of Indonesian tech professionals who are working in Singapore, with an aim to be a community that fosters and enables the sharing of professional and personal information and value to help one another propel in our lives. The University has had been a great platform for me to learn a great many things from my friends who had taught me much about their cultures and life outside of my comfort zone to the facilities provided that support my entrepreneurial dream from the Enterprise Gym (now Centre for Entrepreneurship) to the UK-wide competitions I attended as one of the representatives of the University of Dundee. The lessons I've learnt and the experiences I've garnered from my time in the university had enabled me to be able to build my career in the IT industry and be where I am now despite not having a degree in IT/Tech.
Reason for becoming an Alumni Ambassador
I believe that all my experiences and what I've learnt at Dundee have helped me tremendously in my career and developed me into who I am today, and I still have much to learn from our alumni network. If I can help prospect students or fresh graduates to gain as much value during their time in Dundee as I have or to be able to help them at all with their career, through my own experience or the connection that we have with Dundee Alumni, I would be more than happy to be able to facilitate such a platform or conversation.
