Bernadette Malone is former Chief Executive of Perth and Kinross council, a post she held for 15 years.  As a result of major transformational and cultural change, the council is widely regarded as a high performing organisation, with very strong financial management, effective governance and sector leading practise. 

Bernadette has led a highly successful multiagency partnership which has delivered tangible improvements in the wellbeing of children and young people.  On behalf of the Scottish Government, she led national groups on GIRFEC and employee engagement and contributed to the Scottish Leaders forum. 

She was also a member of the Fair Work Convention which produced a Fair Work Framework for Scotland in 2016.   She is currently a Board Member of the Care Inspectorate and is Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
