OPD workshops
How to book an OPD workshop.
Organisational and Professional Development workshops
OPD’s all staff professional training options are categorised under the themes of Digital Competency, Professional Effectiveness, Management, Project Management, Mental Health and Wellbeing and Organisational Awareness. There is a complementary programme focused on topics specific to research and academic staff which includes support around Writing, Publishing, Supervision and others. Visit the SharePoint to browse the full catalogue of workshops, or to book, click on OPD booking system at the bottom of this page.
Postgraduate Researchers should visit the Doctoral Academy for the full range of opportunities available to them, and view the A-Z OPD PGR Programme.
We encourage you to plan your development in conversation with your line manager or supervisor, and, if you are a manager, to provide opportunities for your team to undertake professional development. Visit the People Manager’s Resource for support.
Self-Directed learning should be considered in the first instance to support you with your learning and development needs. You can use these videos and articles to increase your understanding, before committing to additional classroom or webinar learning. See our self-directed learning page or visit the SharePoint.
To help ensure that workshops run smoothly and that participants get the most out of them, we have created statements of expectation please take a moment to familiarise yourself with them on our Policies page.
If you would like to suggest topics that you feel are not currently provided via self-directed learning or workshops, please feel free to complete the training gap survey. The password to access the survey is Training.
OPD webinars and workshops are released four times per year via our newsletters so some titles may not be available to book just now.
Search workshops, make bookings, and manage your account information.
