New comic created in Dundee set for launch

A new comic strip created by a University of Dundee lecturer and graduate will next week make its debut in comics legend David Lloyd’s digital anthology. Bantah Six was conceived by Phillip Vaughan, MSc Animation & VFX Course Director at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, and produced with his former student Rossi Gifford. It will appear in the next edition of Aces Weekly, the digital comic launched by Lloyd, the celebrated illustrator of V for Vendetta. Dundee enters World Top 20 of the under-50s

The University of Dundee has been named one of the world’s top 20 universities founded in the last 50 years. Times Higher Education’s `100 Under 50’ rankings for 2015 place the University of Dundee 19th= in the worldwide rankings. It is one of only two UK universities in the top 20, and the top ranked Scottish institution. The University has also been awarded a Gold Award for Citations. New Scottish Artists 2015

Nine graduates from the University of Dundee will next month be among the first to take part in an exciting new exhibition in London showcasing the best young artistic talent Scotland has to offer. Dundee forensics experts join `Waterloo Uncovered’ project

Waterloo Uncovered, a landmark archaeological project to explore the battlefield of Waterloo has broken ground in its exploration of the historic site. The team, which uniquely includes international archaeologists, British veterans and, some still serving in the Coldstream Guards, has been working on site at Waterloo on the project’s first excavations. University of Dundee receives Leaders of a Living Planet Award from WWF

The University of Dundee has received the Leaders of a Living Planet Award from the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The award was made at the 7th World Water Forum in Deagu, South Korea, and recognises the contribution to conservation of the natural world and sustainable development made by the University’s Centre for Water, Policy and Science.
