JOOT take Everyman on tour

The University of Dundee’s JOOT Theatre Company will take their production of Everyman to Fife and Perthshire this month. The company will be performing on the main stage at the Byre Theatre in St Andrews on Saturday, 11th April as part of the On the Rocks Theatre Festival. They will repeat the performance in the Chapel of The Library of Innerpeffray, Crieff, on Saturday, 25th April. ‘Mitigating Circumstances’ team animated by top industry award nomination

A group of University of Dundee graduates have been nominated for one of the premier awards for emerging filmmaking talent in Scotland. Kieran Duncan, Tom Paxton and Steph Flynn, who graduated last year from the MSc Animation & VFX course at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, part of the University, have been nominated in the Animation category of the BAFTA Scotland New Talent Awards 2015. Dundee voters give party leaders mixed marks on debate performances

Nicola Sturgeon came out as the highest rated, with Ed Miliband not far behind. David Cameron and Nick Clegg had slightly lower ratings while Natalie Bennet and Leanne Wood’s grades ranged from A to F and Nigel Farage received a failing mark. DUSA mobilises Election Champions

Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA) has mobilised a team of ‘Election Champions’ to ensure its members know how to register to vote and exercise their democratic right in the run up to 7th May. Political parties have officially begun vying for the public’s support, but many students have fallen off the electoral register, and DUSA is aiming to reverse this trend before 20th April when registration closes.
