We welcome musicians from all levels of experience, from clarinet maestros to novice trombonists.

  • Are you a woodwind, brass or percussion player?
  • Do you have an unrivalled love for the soundtracks of Hairspray, Wicked and the works of Coldplay and Queen?
  • Do you have a guilty pleasure for musical puns?

Then the University of Dundee Concert Band is definitely for you!

The Concert Band performs in an annual Christmas Concert and Spring Concert. Previous concert locations have included St Paul's Cathedral, the Dundee Botanic Gardens, the Caird Hall and St Andrew’s in the Square, Glasgow!

We meet on Monday evenings between 7.30pm and 9.00pm in Bonar Hall, Ustinov Room. An end of year concert takes place on Friday December 2 (TBC) at St Paul's Cathedral.

Our rehearsals start for the new season in September and end in December.

The Band is brought alive by our legendary conductor Susan Sneddon, who teaches at the nearby High School of Dundee. The first class banter from Susan (and all that playing) is sure to leave you short of breath!

How to join

There are no auditions and new members are always welcome.

Membership is only £5 per semester (£10/year), and covers the cost of music, concerts and tuition.

If you are interested in coming along feel free to join our Facebook group, email us or come along to one of our regular rehearsals, it really is no treble at all…
