This module is designed to provide a broad overview of core medico-legal topics:

Component 2: Causation and damage; risk and how society might assign responsibility where a risk materialises and causes harm.
Component 3: How the law of negligence could be reformed – “no fault schemes”.
Component 4: What consent is, what it does and how it works; the ethical justification for consent.
Component 5: Legal regulation of consent
Component 6: The regulation of confidentiality and data protection
Exit from the Programme is possible after completion of the above two modules, with a postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Law and Ethics
