To examine the voice as both central to and at the margins of key literary, aesthetic and philosophical movements and debates in traditions in the Global North and beyond. · To address voice as a performance medium, a literary/poetic device (particularly within Lyric traditions), and a cultural signifier, and to make interdisciplinary connections between these frameworks.
