Research Project module (CE50007)

As part of the MSc programme you complete a research project. You can take a project in a variety of subject areas, relevant to your degree. You will build upon the skills learnt in the specialist modules. The project may involve you working with one of our research groups, and some projects involve working with industry. Examples of recent projects include:

• Low Carbon Concrete - Standard strength, mix design and engineering properties
• Carbon calculations and life cycle assessment
• Numerical Modelling of Steel Circular Hollow Columns under Blast and Debris Impact
• Developing a tool for evaluating embodied carbon for novel cement technologies
• Use of Big Data in the Construction Industry
• Hydrothermal production of granular cements
