Curriculum Planning and Evaluation module (CM50139)

This module aims to: Support students make informed decisions to develop curricula and plan curriculum evaluation in their own context.

By the end of this module, students should be able to: 

• Examine critically the theoretical underpinnings of the concept: ‘curriculum’ 
• Critically appraise the information related to curriculum theory, principles and trends and apply in the design of a curriculum 
• Appraise how quality assurance and quality enhancement are considered in curriculum design 
• Develop an original proposal for curriculum evaluation that is relevant to their own context and illustrates critical awareness of current issues in evaluation
